Located in the historical and ancient city of Xi'an, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) ranks as a Category A university, as it evolves rapidly with state-of-the-art innovative technologies.With NPU's remarkable history that dates as far back as 1938, the university was designated as a national key university and among the selected few universities that were firstly classified into the "211 Project" in 1995 and later also became a part of the "985 Project" in 2001. NPU has more than 36,000 students, including 1,400 international students from 107 countries.

Scholarship

1. A waiver of tuition fee

  Monthly stipend: 1300 RMB/month (Chinese program/10 months per year)

                               1800 RMB/month (Undergraduate program/10 months per year)

Application Materials

1. Application Form for the "Five Central Asian Countries" International Student Education and Training Program scholarship in Xi'an

2. Personal valid passport；

3. A copy of high school diploma (or graduation certificate) and all transcripts. It should be the original documents or be notarized.；

4. Non-criminal record (valid for five months)；

5. Recommendation letter in English；

6. Self-introduction (base on given template on official website);

7. Copy of "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (valid for six months);

8. Students who applying for Undergraduate English medium majors are required to provide English language certificate;

9. Other supplementary materials required.

Undergraduate Program Majors

Application Qualifications

1. From Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan with a valid passport; friendly to China and in good health;

2. Good conduct、law-abiding、work hard，no criminal record；

3. Have the equivalent of a high school diploma in China and be under the age of 25

4. Applicants should be competent in performing scientific research and maintain a good academic grade level. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above. NPU accepts international standardized tests such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/IGCSE/WAEC/GED. Applicants may provide other certificates as proof for academic performance.

5. Students who applying for Undergraduate English medium majors are required to provide one of the English language certificates:

IELTS Academic Test overall 6.0 or above (no less than 5.5 in each element)

TOEFL 80 or above (My best Scores, iBT home edition, Essentials, DI code C317 are accepted)

PTE Academic Test (55 or above)

Duolingo English Test (105 or above)

Cambridge International Advanced LEVEL English course--A

SAT (1150 or above)

Cambridge Main Suite Examinations

（FCE≥169 or CAE≥180 or CPE）
