Scholarship standard

Xi'an City ‘The Belt and Road’International Students Scholarship is leveled into three levels.

1． First level winners are exempt from tuition fee, accommodation fee, and living allowances are provided.

Living allowances:

  Undergraduate: 1500RMB/month*12months

  Master: 2000RMB/month*12months

  PhD: 3500RMB/month*12months

2．Second level winners are exempt from tuition fee, and living allowances are provided.

Living allowances:

  Undergraduate: 1500RMB/month*10 months

  Master: 2000RMB/month*10 months

  PhD: 3500RMB/month*10months

3．Third level winners are exempt from 50% tuition fee, and living allowances are provided.

Living allowances:

  Undergraduate: 1500RMB/month*10 months

  Master: 2000RMB/month*10 months

  PhD: 3500RMB/month*10months

Foundation Program (One year Program Applicants): 1000RMB/month*10months

*The scholarship for foundation program does not cover the tuition and accommodation fee.

Majors covered by the Scholarship

Xi'an City ‘The Belt and Road’International Students Scholarship applicants can apply all majors offered for international students.

Eligibility of Applicants

1．Good physical and mental health (no infectious diseases and no physical or mental diseases affecting normal study).

2．Applicants applying for undergraduate program hould hold a high school diploma and be under the age of 23 before September 1st, 2026. Applicants applying for the Master program admissions should hold a bachelor’s degree certificate and be under the age of 30 before September 1st, 2026. Applicants applying for the PhD program admissions should hold a Master’s degree certificate and be under the age of 35 before September 1st, 2026.

3．Applicants should have good learning ability and academic performance. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above. Applicants for UG should provide the test result of CSCA.

4．Language Proficiency Requirements.

Applicants should have Chinese/English language proficiency that meets the application and admission criteria.

5．The applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.

For the applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants must hold the passports or the citizenship certificates of their current countries for at least 4 years in addition to the 2-year “proof of residence” in the recent 4 years.

Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:

(1) The certificate proving that the applicant obtained the foreign nationality at birth;

(2) For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality.  

Application Period

Undergraduate application:

First batch: November 1, 2025 - January 15, 2026

Second batch: January 16, 2026 - March 15, 2026 

Third batch: March 16, 2026 - April 15, 2026

Fourth batch: April 20, 2026 -  May 20, 2026

*September intake only.

Postgraduate application:

The first batch: November 1, 2025 - January 15, 2026, 17:00 (GMT+8).

 -Application submission after 17:00 (GMT+8) is automatically regarded as 2nd batch application.

The second batch: January 16, 2026 -  February 28, 2026, 17:00 (GMT+8).

 -Application submission after 17:00 (GMT+8) is automatically regarded as 3rd batch application.

The third batch: March 1, 2026 - March 31, 2026, 17:00 (GMT+8).

 -Application submission after 17:00 (GMT+8) is automatically regarded as 4th batch application.

The fourth batch: April 1, 2026 - April 30, 2026, 17:00 (GMT+8).

 -Application submission after April 30, 2025, 17:00 (GMT+8) is automatically regarded as giving up.

Foundation application:

June 15, 2026, 17:00 (GMT+8).

Applicants are encouraged to apply early to have a higher chance of receiving a scholarship.

1. This scholarship is a freshman scholarship, and is only provided for the first academic year of new students.

2. All scholarship winners must pass an annual review. The level of on-campus scholarship will be adjusted according to their academic performance.
