Scholarship standard
The “NPU President Scholarship” is divided into four levels.
1． Elite level winners are exempt from tuition fee and accommodation fee, and will receive living allowances.
Living allowances:
Undergraduate: 1500RMB/month*10months
Master: 2000RMB/month*10months
PhD: 2500RMB/month*10months
2． First level winners are exempt from tuition fee.
3． Second level winners are exempt from 50% tuition fee.
4． Third level winners are exempt from 25% tuition fee.
Majors covered by the Scholarship
NPU President Scholarship applicants can apply for all majors offered to international students.
Eligibility of Applicants
1．Good physical and mental health (no infectious diseases and no physical or mental illnesses that interfere with normal studies).
2．Applicants applying for undergraduate program should hold a high school diploma and be under the age of 23 before September 1st, 2027.
Applicants applying for the Master program admissions should hold a bachelor’s degree certificate and be under the age of 30 before September 1st, 2027.
Applicants applying for the PhD program admissions should hold a Master’s degree certificate and be under the age of 35 before September 1st, 2027.
3．Applicants should have good learning ability and academic performance.
Undergraduate applicants should provide test results from the CSCA. SAT, A‑Level, IB and other internationally‑recognized standardized test scores will also be accepted as supplementary documentation.
For Postgraduate applicants, the minimum requirement for previous academic performance is an average score of 75% and above.
4．Language Proficiency Requirements.
Applicants should have Chinese/English language proficiency that meets the application and admission criteria.
5．The applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.
For applicants who were formerly Chinese citizens and have since immigrated to other countries, they must hold the passports or the citizenship certificates of their current countries for at least 4 years, together with 2-year proof of residence within the most recent 4-year period.
Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:
(1) The certificate proving that the applicant obtained the foreign nationality at birth;
(2) For applicants who were formerly Chinese citizens and have since immigrated to other countries, they shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality.
Application Period
Undergraduate application:
First batch: November 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026
Second batch: January 1, 2027 - February 28, 2027
Third batch: March 1, 2027 - April 15, 2027
Fourth batch: April 16, 2027 - May 20, 2027
*September intake only.
*Majors with full enrolment will no longer be open for applications.
Postgraduate application:
The first batch: November 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026, 17:00 (GMT+8).
The second batch: January 1, 2027 - February 28, 2027, 17:00 (GMT+8).
The third batch: March 1, 2027 - March 31, 2027, 17:00 (GMT+8).
The fourth batch: April 1, 2027 - April 30, 2027, 17:00 (GMT+8).
*Application submission after April 30, 2027, 17:00 (GMT+8) is automatically regarded as giving up.
*Applicants are encouraged to apply early to have a higher chance of receiving a scholarship.

This scholarship is a freshman scholarship, and is only provided for the first academic year of new students.
All scholarship recipients must undergo the annual comprehensive scholarship review. The review determines their eligibility to continue receiving or reinstating the scholarship. Recipients failing to meet the assessment criteria shall be subject to scholarship downgrading or termination. No upward adjustment of scholarship levels is available under the annual review Scholarship levels will be adjusted in accordance with the review outcomes.
The International Student Office (ISO) of NPU reserves the right of final interpretation for the annual comprehensive scholarship review.
Scholarship coverage, eligibility criteria and evaluation standards may be revised each year in light of relevant policies and actual conditions. Applicants should refer to the official announcements and selection guidelines issued for the current year.
