Recently, the enrolment of international students from the batch of 2022 was successfully completed.
On cool autumn day, the colorful banner of "Welcome to NPU" at the entrance of theinternational students’ apartment fluttered gently in the breeze. Multiple copies of the welcoming materials such as Student Handbook, Guide for International Freshmen, CampusMap, and the Anti-Epidemic Kit with masks and disinfectants were neatly placed on the tables of the reception hall for freshmen. The work at each station was in good order for registration, dormitory accommodation, tuition payment, insurance purchase, and visa processing. International students went through all the formalities in a one-stop process here and felt the convenient, fast, warm and thoughtful service.
On the spot, the teachers ofInternational College methodically handled all the formalities for the new students who came to register, talked with them cordially, asked about their life and study. The teachers wished them to grow, develop their talents in NPU and fulfill their life dreams. The new students of NPU were also full of unlimited expectations for the upcoming study and life and looked forward to their bright future.
Under the background of normalized prevention and control of New Coronavirus Epidemic, Northwestern Polytechnical University continue to promote the "online and offline" synchronous registration mode forinternational students this semester. Overseas students timely submitted their registration materials through the online registration system, renewed their personal information, activated their campus accounts. The staff finished the review of a series of procedures such as student registration materials and tuition payment online to help overseas students conveniently complete the registration process and prepare for their smooth opening of the "Cloud Classroom".
According to the arrangement of the university, the international freshmen have started a 10-day freshman training camp from August 30 to participate in cultural exchanges, course selection guidance, legal education and other adaptive lectures or visits. Freshmen from all over the world can adapt to their study life online and offline synchronously and quickly, and smoothly integrate into the family of Northwestern Polytechnical University.
In the autumn semester of 2022, the university has enrolled 666 international students from 66 countries in the world. Among them, 279 are undergraduates, 184 are postgraduates, 80 are doctoral students, and 123 are students of other projects. In terms of major selection, the top five majors with a large number of undergraduate students are computer science and technology, business administration, aerospace engineering, biotechnology, mechanical design and automation. The top five colleges with a large number of master and doctoral students are School of Mechanics and Civil Architecture, School of Aeronautics, School of Materials, School of Software, and School of Electronic Information.
