Located in Xi'an, Shaanxi, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) is a multi-disciplinary, research-oriented and open-ended national key university in China that cultivates talents in aeronautics, astronautics and marine technology engineering. Affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, it is a national "First-Class" university (A class).

A discipline system has been established for the compatible development of subject clusters led by aeronautics, astronautics, and marine technology with 3M (materials, mechanical engineering, mechanics) and 3C (computer, communications, control) along with subject clusters in other sciences, humanities and social science. This system has laid a sound foundation for NPU to build first-class disciplines.

Introduction

Program Level: Undergraduate.

Registration time: September of each year.

Program Object: First- and second-year undergraduate students from foreign cooperative universities and institutions.

Program duration : 4 years. Both parties will formulate the professional teaching plan and adopt the "2+2"Two Campuses" teaching mode.

Program content: Students study for two years at the home university, complete two years of teaching arrangement, and reach the score requirement which is stipulated in the teaching arrangement and also in qualified courses.Through the selection examination which is organized by NPU and passed the relevant admission procedures, the students can enter the second stage of the study.

If the program students in the second phase failed to finish the teaching plan requirements, after the student’s application is approved by two universities, the period of study can be extended appropriately by no more than two years.

Scholarship

In the second stage, the eligible students can also apply for the international student scholarship of NPU. Whether the students can get scholarships will depend on the results of the interview and their academic performance in home university.

Graduation and Degree Awarded

If the program students complete the teaching program jointly formulated by two universities and meet the requirements of graduation, NPU will award the diploma and bachelor's degree certificate.
