Program Introduction

It is intended to help international students seeking to receive undergraduate education in China to improve their language proficiency, professional basic knowledge and cross-cultural adaptability, and lay a solid foundation for future university studies.

NPU International Foundation program is committed to training international students in three aspects:

1. Academic basic skills: through foundation study, the students can transcend the differences between their own countries and China’s basic education and improve their subject knowledge structure.

2. Language application ability: through learning language in an academic environment, the students can master enough professional Chinese or English vocabulary.

3. Cultural adaptability: through the study of Chinese culture, the students can understand Chinese academic culture, seek common ground while reserving differences across cultures, and better integrate and adapt to the cultures of various countries.

Admission Requirements

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.

2. Good physical and mental health.

3. 16–22 years old by March 1st, 2027.

4. High school diploma.

5. Learning Ability-the requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 70% and above.

6. Language Requirements

English Foundation Program-IELTS Academic Test overall 5.5 or above (no less than 5.5 in each element) OR TOEFL 66or above (My best Scores, iBT home edition, Essentials, DI code C317 are accepted) OR Duolingo English Test (105 or above)

Admission Documents

1.A copy of the personal information page of your valid passport.

*Applicants currently residing in mainland China must also provide a scanned copy of the currently valid visa page or residence permit page.

2. A copy of high school diploma (or graduation certificate) and all transcripts.

*It should be the original documents or be notarized.

3.Chinese or English language certificate.

4. Non-criminal record certificate (produced within last 5 months).

5.Copy of "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (valid for six months);

6.Applicants under the age of 18 are required to provide:

*Guardian's authorization letter(original and notarized).

*Guardian's Citizenship certificate or Identification Document.
