Program Introduction

In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the exchange of scientific research young talents in the world, China Scholarship Council (CSC) continues to carry out China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program (referred to as China Link Scholarship) in 2025.

Program Scheme

1. Funding Categories

General scholar: current Undergraduate students and Master students.

Senior scholar: current Ph. D students or faculties.

2. Duration

1-12 months.The starting time of studying in China should not be later than August 31, 2026.

3. Study Language

English or Chinese.The specific language is determined according to the majors applicants have chosen.

4. Study/Research Fields

All the majors NPU offers to international students.

Funding

Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).

Eligibility

1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and be in good health both mentally and physically.

2. Be under 45 applying for general scholars. Be under 50 applying for senior scholars.

3. Register as full-time student or employed as full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner university by the time of application and throughout the proposed stay in China. Foreign university list please refer to Appendix 1.

Applicants Documents

1. A copy of the personal information page of your valid passport.

2. A studentship certificate or the certificate of employment  from your current university/institution.

3. Study or the research plan.

4. A copy of “physical examination form for foreigners”(valid for six months).

5. Non-criminal record(valid for six months).

6. Officially recognized awards, scientific research achievements(if any).

7. Language certificate(if any).

8. Other supplementary documents.

Application Process

1. Applicants log into NPU online application portal (http://admission.nwpu.edu.cn) to complete the online application. Select the Exchange Program, and choose CSC China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship.

2. NPU will review the application documents, and those who meet the requirements will be recommended to the China Scholarship Council.

3. Applicants log into Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to complete CSC online application and upload supporting documents. Online application guide please refer to Appendix 2.

4. The China Scholarship Council will announce the scholarship admission results to NPU. If the applicant fails to obtain this scholarship, NPU will provide applicant a university-level exchange student scholarship.

5. NPU issues the admission documents.
