Branch Campus of NPU in Kazakhstan was officially opened on October 12, 2023.

Located in Xi'an, Shaanxi, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) is a multi-disciplinary, research-oriented and open-ended national key university in China that cultivates talents in aeronautics, astronautics and marine technology engineering. Affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, it is a national "First-Class" university (A class).A discipline system has been established for the compatible development of subject clusters led by aeronautics, astronautics, and marine technology with 3M (materials, mechanical engineering, mechanics) and 3C (computer, communications, control) along with subject clusters in other sciences, humanities and social science. This system has laid a sound foundation for NPU to build first-class disciplines.

Program majors: Material Science, Information and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Technology

Program Object: First-year Master students from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Program duration : 2 years. Both parties will formulate the professional teaching plan and adopt the "1+1 Two Campuses" teaching mode.

Program content: Students study for a year at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, complete first year of teaching arrangement, and reach the score requirement which is stipulated in the teaching arrangement and also in qualified courses. Through the selection examination which is organized by NPU and passed the relevant admission procedures, the students can enter the second stage of the study.
