The Northwestern Polytechnic University's Extracurricular and Academic&Technology Contest is a traditional student science and technology activity of the university, which has played a very important role in fostering the spirit of innovation, entrepreneurial consciousness and innovative entrepreneurial ability of our students.
In order to speed up the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents, and in accordance with the call of the University Youth League Committee, the International College of Northwestern Polytechnical University plans to hold the 1st Extracurricular and Academic&Technology Contest.
I. Purpose of the competition
To uphold science, pursue true knowledge, study diligently, innovate and meet challenges.
II. Organizational structure
Organizer: the International College of Northwestern Polytechnical University
III. Timing
Students of all grades submit the electronic application form to the email address: npucontest@126.com, and the deadline for registration is 24:00 onOctober 14,2021.
IV. Requirements and categories of works
The contest is divided intoinnovation track,entrepreneurship track and Public Welfare track.
(i) Innovation track
1.Eligibility:full-time undergraduate and master's students in NPU.
2.Projects:scientific and technological inventions and productions, academic papers in the natural sciences, social investigation reports and academic papers in the philosophical and social sciences.

(ii) Entrepreneurship track
1.Objects:full-time undergraduate students, master's students, doctoral students or graduates within 5 years of graduation (i.e. undergraduate students, master's students, doctoral students who graduated after 2017)in NPU. Among them, the creative group must be students in China who is studying in NPU.
2.Projects: Creative and Faculty-Student Co-creation groups.

(iii) Public Welfare track
1.Objects:The competition is open to full-time undergraduate students, master's students, doctoral students or graduates within 5 years of graduation (i.e. undergraduate, master's and doctoral students who graduated after 2017)in NPU.
2.Projects: Public Interest Group, Business Group.

(i) Students will be required to submit an application form for registration.
(ii) Each student is limited to one project as project leader, and the total number of participating projects must not exceed three. In principle, no changes or modifications are allowed after the entry information is submitted.
(iii) During the competition period, the International College will strictly refer to the "Rules for the Implementation of the Eligibility and Formal Examination of the "Sanhang Cup"Student Competition of the Northwestern Polytechnical University" to examine and determine the eligibility of the projects. If there is any abnormality in the competition, the project will be dealt with seriously according to the"Regulations on Rewards and Punishments for Students of Northwestern Polytechnical University".
VI. Recognition and Awards
(i) According to the university's evaluation methods for undergraduates and the management methods for postgraduate academic scholarships, members of the winning teams will be recognized in the extra points of the academic year evaluation.
(ii)The International College will refer to the "Rules for Organizing and Implementing the Score of the Northwestern Polytechnical University "Sanhang Cup" Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition for College Students" and set up "First Prize" and "Second Prize" and"third prize".
