1.Duration and Degree

Time: 4 years

Degree: Bachelor Degree

2.Application Timeline

First batch: November 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026

Second batch: January 16, 2026, to March 15, 2026 

Third batch: March 16, 2026, to April 15, 2026

Fourth batch: April 20, 2026, to May 20, 2026

*When applicant numbers reach capacity,the program will be automatically closed. September intake only.

3.Qualifications

(1)Good physical and mental health (no infectious or contagious diseases and no physical or mental disorders that could interfere with regular study).

(2)Applicants should be under 23 by September 1st, 2026.

(3)Applicants should hold a high school graduation certificate or diploma by September 1st, 2026.

(4)Applicants should be competent in performing scientific research and maintain a good academic grade level. The requirement for previous academic grade level is an average score of 75% and above. NPU accepts international standardized tests such as SAT/A-Level/IB or regional high school graduation examination.

！Applicants should provide the test results of CSCA(China Scholastic Competency Assessment) before May 20th, 2026. Please refer to the following test subjects:

* Suggested testing time is December 2025, January, March and April 2026. Please pay attention to the official website of CSCA www.csca.cn for specific test arrangements.

(5)Language

Applicants should have Chinese or English language proficiency that meets the requirement.

 * Applicants who do not meet language requirements above, please check international foundation program.

(6)Nationality

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports.  For the applicants who used to be Chinese citizens, they must acquire a foreign nationality and cancel Chinese nationality before April 30, 2022 and have a record of actual foreign residency for more than 2 years from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026 (record of actual foreign residency for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, referring to the entry and exit date signatures).

Applicants whose one or both parents are Chinese citizens must provide one of the following supporting documents:

(1)The certificate proving that the applicant obtained his/hers foreign nationality at birth;

(2) For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, these applicants shall provide the certificates of cancellation of Chinese nationality.  

4.Application Materials

(1) A copy of the personal information page of your valid passport. Applicants currently residing in mainland China must also provide a scanned copy of the currently valid visa page or residence permit page. The passport should be valid until October 30, 2026 at least.

(2) A copy of high school diploma (or graduation certificate) and all transcripts. It should be the original documents or be notarized.

(3) Personal statement (base on given template) and CV.  Talent show video (if any).

(4) Test results of CSCA or Commitment Letter with expected test month (The deadline for submission is May 20th, 2026)

(5) Chinese or English language certificate.

Under these circumstance, Language Certificate is not needed:

 - Applicants who are Chinese native speakers and applying for Chinese medium courses.

 - Applicants who are English native speakers and applying for English medium courses.

(6) Non-criminal record (valid for six months).

(7) Officially certified awards, scientific research achievements (if any).

(8) Copy of "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (valid for six months);

(9) As of November 1st, 2026, minor applicants under the age of 18 must provide Guardian Guarantee Letter (base on given template).

(10) Personal or parents' Bank statements of the last six months (5000USD).

(11) Other supplementary materials required.

2) All the above application materials must be in English or Chinese. Notarized English or Chinese translations is required if materials are in other languages.

5.How to Apply

Step 1 – Documents Preparation

Applicants must meet all requirements and prepare application materials accordingly.

Step 2 – Complete online application

Create an account and log into the NPU online application portal at (http://admission.nwpu.edu.cn/ ) to complete the application.

I.The NPU online application portal is the only acceptable application gate. After completing the application, a non-refundable fee (600 RMB/ about 90 USD) must be paid to validate the application.

II.A valid e-mail address should be used to register for the online application system. The Admissions Office will send application results and notifications to this e-mail address.

III.Applicants should upload required documents before deadline.

Step 3 - Application Materials Review

1. The Admissions Office will review the authenticity of materials.

2. Academic schools will review the applicants’ academic competency. The review process takes approximately ten working days. All qualified applicants will be invited for a follow-up interview.

3. Applicants need to pay attention to the review status on the application system, and their e-mail promptly as well for process and feedback.

Step 4 – Interview

1.Qualified applicants will receive e-mail notifications regarding the interview method, content and time. Applicants should attend the interview according to specified instructions.

2.The Admissions office will announce the results via e-mail a week after the interview.

Step 5 – Registration Deposit

Pre-admitted students must pay the registration deposit.

* Students with First and Second Prize Scholarship need to pay 3000RMB (420USD); 

(The deposit will be refunded around the November-December of the academic year after on-site registration.)

Third Prize and Self-funded students need to pay 50% tuition fee in advance. 

Methods of Payment

I.Online payment

Applicants pay the fee via the online application system. Recommended method.

II. Local bank or online wire transfer

After payment complete, applicants need to upload the wire-transfer receipts or proof of payment vouchers in the application system. The applicant's passport numbers must be indicated on the receipts or payment vouchers. For the bank account details, kindly refer to the official website of NPU International College.

Step 6 - Issue Admission Documents 

After payment confirmation, Admissions Office will send digital version of Admission notice and JW202 to admitted students via email.

Step 7 - Registration

1.Admitted students must complete online and offline registration processes at the Admissions Office before deadline. Usually around late August to early September, 2026.

2.Admitted candidates should go to Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad to apply for study (X1) visa with passport, Admission Notice and "Visa Application Form for Studying in China."

The transfer receipt is absolutely required and needs to be uploaded to the application portal. The verification usually takes 1 or 2 working days.

For the registration stage: tuition fees and accommodation fees can be received by wire transfer or on-site payment.

7. Scholarship

(1)Scholarship Details

* For applicants to the CSC undergraduate program, it is required to obtain at least HSK Level 3 certification in Chinese proficiency before requesting the pre-admission letter.

  CSC Type B has a specific major restriction. Please check the Appendix.

*All scholarship winners must pass an annual review. The scholarship coverage will be adjusted according to their academic performance. Xi’an Belt and Road International Students Scholarship is only given in the first year.

(2)Scholarship Results

(I) University will process about four batches of applicant selections based on the application order. Applicants will receive the result announcement via registered email. Early applicants will be given merit-based priority.

(II) If awarded, applicants will receive only one scholarship funded by either the Chinese government or NPU.

(III) After being admitted by NPU, applicants will not be able to change their programs, majors, learning language, or study period. Consideration for any special circumstances may require additional approvals from the university.

8. Process Supervision

(1) The whole process of selection and admission will be strictly regulated by the university and follows the principle of openness, fairness, and academic integrity.

(2) Any dishonesty during the selection and admission process will lead to admission or studentship cancellation.
